fractal
Fractal is a sculptural folding screen conceived as a dialogue between digital imagery and artisanal craft. The piece explores the translation of immaterial images into a tangible, architectural object.
Starting from landscape photographs, the image is digitally manipulated and fragmented into a faceted, triangular pattern, echoing pixelation and contemporary image-processing tools. This abstract composition is then transformed through traditional glass-making techniques into a surface of colored glass panes, carefully joined with brass seams. The chromatic gradient shifts from dense, saturated tones to pale greens, recalling the ornamental language of Liberty and the stained-glass tradition.
