ARCOIRIS

Arcoiris is a physical experiment in harnessing light. In his latest collection for Nilufar, Andrea Mancuso captures the way a beam bends as it passes through a prism or droplet of water, splitting into a bow of vibrant colours.

The phenomenon is captured in a series of lights and objects formed of curved arcs of Bianco Carrara, Verde Alpi, Giallo Verona and Rosso Alicante stone, constructed to ensure minimal waste. Each element was crafted in a way that brilliantly obscures its light source, producing an ethereal effect of vivid colours lit from within — a beguiling play of light and stone.
